Charlotte Morgan was introduced Wednesday at the sixth head softball coach in Fresno State history. “We’re not rebuilding this year,” Morgan said. “We’re redefining who we are.”
Growing up in Moreno Valley, she was familiar with the program Margie Wright was building. She says her first college shirt had the FS Bulldog in the center.
“My journey led me to Alabama,” she said. “I was the first Californian to go to that school…I wanted to take a chance to be different.”
Morgan was a 3-time All-American for the Crimson Tide and was twice named SEC player of the year. She spent the last 5 seasons as head coach at CSU Northridge, leading the Matadors to a record of 109-126.
